About Tony & Lawrence: Tony Brussat and Lawrence Newcomb are a rare find - a duo authentically steeped in the golden age of American music. Tony, who spent a decade fronting Austin's Jazz Pharaohs and touring with the legendary Asylum Street Spankers, brings masterful guitar work and warm vocals to songs from the 1910s through the 1950s, believing that "even the sweetest melodies will have a touch of the blues." Lawrence adds the essential clarinet voice of traditional New Orleans and pre-war jazz, drawing on his experience with ensembles including the Southern Oregon Jazz Orchestra, Bathtub Gin Serenaders, and symphonic wind orchestras throughout the Bay Area and Rogue Valley.
